We are Aline and Grégory, and it is a great pleasure to welcome you to our little paradise in Vigeois. Whether you’re staying in our gîte or one of our lodges, we’ve designed every space with your comfort in mind. Come and relax by the pool, challenge your friends and family to a game of pétanque, or enjoy a lovely meal in our restaurant. Here, just a stone’s throw from the lake, everything is in place for you to share an unforgettable experience. Welcome to the estate – welcome home!

Perched at the very top of a small hill, the Domaine de la Valade welcomes you to a peaceful setting with a stunning, unobstructed view. It is the ideal place to recharge your batteries, spend time with your family, relax over a long weekend, or celebrate life’s special moments (birthdays, hen and stag parties).
Enjoy our wooded grounds with plenty of shaded areas, perfect for reading a book or taking a cool nap during the hottest part of the day. What’s more, our immediate proximity to the lake offers an exceptional advantage: in the evening, a gentle coolness naturally settles over the estate. Even during heatwaves, our nights remain cool and pleasant, guaranteeing you a restful night’s sleep.
We offer a varied range of comfortable accommodation (all our properties are connected to the mains drainage system):
The Gîte (sleeps 6): Perfect for families or groups of friends, it features 3 spacious bedrooms and a lovely private garden for your moments of privacy.
Our Lodges (sleeps 4, 5 and 7): Combine the great outdoors with the highest standards of comfort! A far cry from traditional camping, our cosy lodges are equipped with proper, comfortable beds, toilets, proper showers and a wood-pellet stove for cooler evenings.
On site, everything is designed with your relaxation and culinary enjoyment in mind:
A swimming pool to cool off in the sunshine.
A pétanque court for socialising under the trees.
An on-site restaurant where you can enjoy delicious breakfasts to get the day off to a good start.
The estate enjoys a prime location for exploring the region without needing to use your car:
A 10-minute walk (along a charming footpath) takes you to Lake Pontcharal. There you’ll find a sandy beach with lifeguards on duty in July and August, shaded lawns, pedalo hire, volleyball courts, places to eat and an excellent spot for fishing.
A 10-minute walk away: Head to the village centre and enjoy the local atmosphere, including its famous village festival every Thursday throughout the summer!
